Georgia Needs Pickup Truck Seat Belt Law!!

Georgia is the only state in the nation with a primary belt law that excludes pickup trucks. If you are under 18 you are required to buckle up, but adults do not. Children learn by example, this law needs to change this year. From 2002-2007, GA experienced a 14 % rise in the number of fatalities in MVA crashes involving trucks. Unrestrained truck occupants are 37 X as likely to be killed as those restrained. http://extension.caes.uga.edu/gtipi/pdffiles/PickupTruck_FACTSHEET_CODES_012009.pdf
